Nomination PackageThe Hamilton, National Capital and Toronto Regional Groups of IPAC are pleased to invite nominations for the 2011 Lieutenant Governor’s Medal of Distinction in Public Administration. The deadline for the submission of nomination packages for consideration for the 2011 Medal of Distinction in Public Administration is Friday September 23rd, 2011. The nomination package should include the following: 1) Nomination Letter: a cover letter (one to two pages) including contact information for the nominee and the nominator(s). 2) Biography: a brief summary (three to five pages) of the nominee’s educational background, positions held, civic and professional involvement and other relevant data. 3) Supporting Statement: of no more than 2 pages summarizing how the nominee meets the criteria. 4) Accomplishments: for each of the six selection criteria, describe the key accomplishments and achievements of the nominee and provide any supporting evidence you wish the selection committee to consider (up to one page per criteria). The selection criteria are as follows:
5) References: letters from at least three but no more than six persons in support of the nomination. The Selection Committee attaches considerable importance to the nature, quality and completeness of the documentation submitted by the nominators. The Committee will make its judgment solely on the basis of the information received and will not seek additional information about any of the nominees. Therefore, it is advantageous to submit a full and complete package of information. Based on the length guidelines above, this package will not exceed 15 pages excluding the reference letters. Nominations remain eligible for consideration for a period of three years, including the year of nomination. Nominators will be notified in writing of the decision of the Selection Committee. |
